1. Introduction

LearnMate ("we," "our," or "us") provides AI-driven educational tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how your data is processed. This policy complies with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Name, email address, and authentication credentials.
• User Content: Learning prompts, text inputs, and queries you provide to the AI.
• Usage Data: Device identifiers, operating system version, and app performance logs.

3. Third-Party AI & Data Processing

To provide our core features, we share specific data with the following partners. In accordance with Guideline 5.1.2(i), we disclose our primary AI partners by name:

• Google Gemini (Generative AI): We share your learning prompts with Google Gemini to generate educational insights, summaries, and tutoring content.
• Microsoft Azure (Speech Services): We share text content with Microsoft Azure to facilitate Text-to-Speech (TTS) functionality.

Privacy Guardrails: We do not share your identity (name/email) with these providers. Data shared is strictly limited to what is necessary to fulfill your request.

4. User Consent for AI Services

LearnMate requires your explicit consent before any personal data or user-generated content is transmitted to the third-party AI services listed above. You will be prompted to grant this permission during onboarding or upon your first interaction with an AI feature. You may withdraw this consent at any time in the app settings.

5. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize your learning experience.
• To generate audio versions of lessons via Azure Speech.
• To analyze and improve our AI models' educational accuracy.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. To comply with Guideline 5.1.1(v):

• In-App Deletion: You may initiate the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data directly within the "Settings" menu of the LearnMate app.
• Effect of Deletion: Deletion is immediate and irreversible. All personal data, learning history, and user-generated content will be purged from our servers.

7. Advertising & Monetization

We use Google AdMob to display rewarded advertisements. To provide these ads, Google may collect certain device identifiers (IDFA), usage data, and location information. This data is used solely to provide rewards within the app and to measure ad performance. You can manage your ad preferences via your iOS device settings.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption to protect your data during transit and at rest. While we strive for absolute security, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
